Title: Special Education for Genetic Syndromes: the Williams Syndrome

Abstract: The Genetic Syndromes represents a significant proportion of developmentaldisability. Cause of the variability of the cognitive and social profile,they require specific educational interventions. The interventions used inWilliams Syndrome, cause of cognitive and social features related to hischaracteristics, can represent an educational strategy prototypical for thisorder of diseases. In this paper the characteristics of the syndrome are presentedand the implications for the educational intervention are discussed.

Abstract: Le sindromi a base genetica rappresentano una quota significativa delle disabilitàevolutive complesse. A causa della variabilità del profilo cognitivo esociale, esse necessitano di interventi educativi specifici.
